Meeting Recipients Being Told They're the Originator of the Meeting?

Jon

I have a couple of users telling me when they receive a meeting notice they
will get an error message that they do not need to accept the request since
they're the Originator of the meeting. As a recipient of the notice it is
clear and obvious that they are not the originator of the meeting so why/how
would they get this message and how do I fix it so they don't get that
anymore. I have already cleaned up the Delegates listed and Shared the
Calendar with any of the others that need Viewer access, put in any and all
updates and SPs necessary, used the /cleanfreebusy switch and installed a
patch I got from Microsoft but they're still getting it.

Thanks for any Reply -
Jon

Jon,

We have the same issue and I sent in a question:

microsoft.public.outlook.calendaring We have a user that receives a
recurring meeting, goes to accept and is given the error that she can't
accept because she's the 'Organizer'. We have uninstalled and re-installed
Office 2003 in an attempt to resolve, however it didn't. We then had the
recurring meetings that were causing the problem removed and re-issued, which
of course involve 60 other personnel who were attached to one or more of
these meetings, and that didn't work either. Any ideas? -- J I haven't
received a response to day. I hope they help you!
