I'm having trouble with Meeting Requests in Outlook 2007 being sent from
Outlook 2003. When the user using 2003 sends a meeting request with no
recurrences, the meeting request in Outlook 2007 shows it as recurring every
week with no end date, Accepted or not. But when the 2003 user then sends a
recurring meeting request (with a weekly or with an end date), the 2007 user
does not see the recurring meeting in their Calendar. So, the meeting
requests for recurrences are 'interchanged' going from Outlook 2003 to
Outlook 2007, but the sending from 2007 to 2003 works just fine. I have
searched the options in the newer Outlook to find any fields that would
specify the setup of receiving a meeting request with or without recurrences,
but I am unable to find anything that would apply to the receiving part of
meeting recurrences.
I have tested this issue with 2 other 2003 Outlook's, so I know it's not a
missed option in the older Outlook's. I do not however have another Outlook
2007 to troubleshoot from, if the issue did in fact reside in the registry or
program options in the newer Outlook 2007. Office 2007 was preinstalled on a
new notebook with Windows Vista Business Edition, purchased from Dell.
Any info on this would be helpful, Thanks!
