Meeting request in Calender?

A

Anna

When a meeting request is first sent out, your calendar is
TENTATIVELY updated - that's why you see it in your
calendar first. If you open the email, minimize it, and
look at your calendar, you will also see it as tentative.

The system is assuming you are going to accept the entry.
When you decline and return your response, Outlook removes
it because it wasn't approved/accepted and places the
original email in your permantently deleted folder. If
want an item sent from someone to remain in your calendar,
you have to accept it. Hope I haven't confused you.)
