Meeting Request Stuck in Outbox

I'm using XP with Outlook 2003. I've got iCalendar enabled, and have sent a
meeting request to a colleague, but it is sitting in my outbox and I can't
open or delete it. It is blocking all subsequent emails from being sent as
well.

File->Work Offline. Close and restart Outlook and delete the item from your
outbox.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.
