Meeting responses disappearing!

I have scheduled a meeting with about 30 invitees. The original invitation went to 17, but I added additional people in several batches, sending the meeting update only to the new invitees.

The first problem was that using the Scheduling Assistant repeatedly crashes Entourage, but I finally got the meeting on the calendar.

Now when I open the meeting and "View attendee status" nearly all show as "No Response" -- but I have the email responses in my inbox. Those who declined show properly, but most of the accepted are listed as "No Response." Fortunately I've been keeping a separate list -- but what's up with that?
