Meeting text is deleted when updated meeting request is received

Does anyone know how I can avoid the text being deleted when I receive an
updated meeting request when I'm not the owner of a meeting? Right now, I
type and save notes for upcoming meetings in the request, but then if someone
sends an update to the meeting date/time, all my notes are gone even before I
accept the update request. Thanks in advance!
