Meetings: Entourage calendar doesn't update if a meeting is accepted in OWA or on a phone

Hi,

Just FYI: We use Exchange for e-mail.

Not sure if this is just a limitation of Entourage or what, but I have done some troubleshooting with a user here and discovered that her Entourage calendar will only update if Entourage is the program that accepts the meeting. She has a Palm that connects to the e-mail, and we also have Outlook Web Access set up.

TEST: I sent her a test message and had her accept on the phone. It updated both the phone's calendar and OWA's calendar. In Entourage, it just deleted the meeting request e-mail and didn't update the calendar at all. So I went into her Deleted Items in Entourage. It showed the meeting request e-mail, and still had the options to accept, decline, accept tentative. I accepted. This updated the Entourage calendar and didn't create a second meeting on the server. So this is a work-around, but is there a way for Entourage to auto-sync with the exchange calendar instead of having to initiate the meetings?

Thanks for your help.

Try right clicking on the Calendar in Entourage and going to
Properties. Then under the Calendar Cache section, Empty the cache.
Let it re-sync with the server which could take a little while. That
should fix it.

More precise instructions:
Open Entourage.
Click Calendar in the upper left corner of the window.
Locate your Exchange calendar in the area on the left side of the
window. Your Exchange calendar may be named Calendar [Your Name] — not
Calendar [On My Computer].
Do one of the following:
Right-click your Exchange calendar and select Folder Properties.
Hold down the Control key on your keyboard and click your Exchange
calendar. Then select Folder Properties.
In the area labeled Empty Cache, click the Empty button.
Click OK.
Entourage will clear all events on your calendar. It will then update
your calendar by retrieving events from the Exchange server.

Oh sorry - I forgot to update this thread when my problem was fixed. I fixed it a week ago by emptying the Calendar cache.
