American River Ins Adjusters

Hi,

I'm having what I consider massive problems with 3.1 and am at the end of my
rope.

1. Comp A is not synching with Comp B or Comp C
2. Comp B&C seem to be synching correctly
3. Comp A is set up for muliple computers and I can access preferences
4. Comp B&C - get error message whenever I try to access preferences

My problem:

I uploaded my account info to Groove from Comp A and then realized that it
wasn't synching with Comps B & C. I checked Account Preferences on Comp A
and it showed that neither B or C were synching. I followed the
instructions and removed them from the list, but when I went to Comp B to
re-download the account info, I got an error message when I tried to access
Preference. The most up to date info and workspaces are on Comps B & C.
I've used Grooveclean and have overinstalled Groove on Comp B, but still
can't get to preferences. I get an error that the "parameters are not
correct".

My thinking is that I've somehow got to be able to upload the account from
Comp B or Comp C since they have the most up to date info, and then download
the account onto Comp A which hopefully will make everything synch
correctly. Right? If I'm correct, how the heck do I get preferences to
work correctly on Comp B & C? Grooveclean and over install didn't work.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

some simple questions before i can help
how many accounts are there on the 3 machines
just 1 acnt shared on all A,B,C
or 2, one standalone on machine B or C
one acnt shared between A and either B or C

re not being able to get at the preferences option even after grooveclean
and a reinstall - you can safely uninstall groove (keeping the data) and then
install fresh, rather than an over install. we have seen sometimes that error
logs do not clear and messages just pop up

there is a CSM utility for groove 3.1 which is a bit painful if you have
never used it before but it does give clues abiut internal errors - if you
have not worked with this before i would be happy to guide you.

Hi,

Just 1 account on all three computers. I did unistall groove on Comps A &
B, keeping the data so that didn't work. I was going to uninstall groove on
comp B without the data, but I think it would draw down the data upload from
comp A which is way out of date so I didn't try that. Where do I get the
CSM utility? and thanks for your help!
