I have a database with that has a table with 4 memo
fields. It was designed many years ago I'm not even sure
what version of Access it was designed in. It has been
converted to Access 2002. It's a database with Quote
information in it so it has a lot of contact info in it.
The problem is when you try to do something against the
table with the 4 memo fields it will sometimes give you
the "Microsoft Access has encounted a problem and needs to
close" message. Which you then have to close out Access
and re-open it and sometimes you really need to re-boot
the PC to come back. Like I said it doesn't do it all the
time but it seems once it starts it will do it the rest of
the day. I've tried to rebuild the table changing the memo
fields from memo to text but one of the fields has several
records over 255 characters. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to what I can do? Thanks Robin
