Memory Bug?

When we import a text file containing 1 column with a six
digit number into Access, Access truncates the first digit
at line 4096 (8 cubed) and its miltiples (e.g.
8192,12288,16384 etc) we think this is a memory block
problem any ideas.

Hi Jim,

I've just imported a textfile of 1 column with a six-digit number
(including leading zeroes) into a text field. I imported 2 million
records and not one of them was truncated.

Please provide a lot more detail about what you're doing.

8 cubed is no where near 4096 ...
