Menu Bar

I have Microsoft Ofice 98.The Menu bar under Insert does
not have a "Page number. I tried the other suggestions
under help and now I have a number at the top and bottom of
the page which I cant delete.
How do I get a page number under Insert on the Menu bar?
I do not wish to retype the document.

Hi Lillian,

It's been a while, but I think it was the same in 98 as it is now. From
Word's menu (you are talking about Word, aren't you?) choose View > Header
and Footer.

That turns on the header and footer toolbar, which has the insert buttons
you are looking for.
