Menu disappeared

When I worked with Visio 2000, I did an unintended action which leads to the result that my main menu (file, edit, view, insert, format, etc.) disappeared. All tries to restore the menu failed. I looked in the toolbar menue where I can see the main manue activated, but I can' t see it anywhere. I can't also deactivate the symbol for the main manue

Who can help me out????
