Hi,

How can i hide OR disable the Mailings menu in ms word?

Why would you want to? All the tools the tab contains can be accessed via
other routes.

i found the the link and it's very usfull thank you.

why do i want to hide the mailing?
answer is:

i have a custom template, this template has a bookmark with the total number
of documents. it works fine.

problem is, when the user do mail merge, this fiel show the total number of
documet which is not correct. what i did i change this bookmark to section
page filed but again if the user make a section break, the total number of
document is not correct.

is it clear?

I'm afraid I don't see what the bookmark in the template has to do with the
Mailings tab/Menu item?
