menu options for users

I am currently using Access 2007 and I have my database split. On the front
end I have the options limited so that the user cannot access the full menu,
instead they work through a switchboard to get to forms and reports.

Due to the problem with a recent patch from Microsoft I cannot copy and
paste from excel to access, I would like my users to be able to do this. The
easiest way I found to get around this is to open the clipboard and paste it
from there, however this is not available unless the full menu is enabled.
Is there anyway to make it available without enabling the full menu?

I also would like to allow my users the option to import into the database,
this also is not available except for on the full menu, is there anyway to
make the import option available without enabling full menus?

If you're not using built in ribbons and menus you have to build your own
custom ribbons and menus with custom code for the features you want.

The low tech work around for the Excel update is to paste the Excel data into
Word, then copy from Word and paste into Access.

I may just use the extra step through Word to copy and Paste... I'm am new to
writing Code.

How difficult would the code be to write for custom Ribbons? Is there a
good website with instruction and examples? If it is too difficult, like I
said, I may just go the other route.

Thanks!
