menu toolbar in excel went missing

I have lost the uppermost toolbar in Excel. I have the latest MAC
version of Excel as part of Microsoft Office. It is Menu toolbar that
shoud appear to the right of the Apple and Excel. The menu bar should
read "File, Edit, View, etc. I really am frustrated in trying to get
this menu bar back. please advise if anyone can assist me. Thanks Kat

Do you have any 3rd pary add-ins or "haxies" that might be affecting OS X or
Excel? That's one of the most likely sources of such behavior. Otherwise...

First thing to try: Click the black triangle at the right end of a toolbar
*or* Control+Click a separator line on a toolbar to get into the Customize
Toolbars/Menus dialog. On the Toolbars page click the name [not the
checkbox] of the Menu Bar then click the Reset button. That may be all
that's needed. If that doesn't resolve it post back for other options.
