Menus - disable items

I have createt a meny called 'Menu'
The menu has two choises 'File' - 'Edit'
Under 'File' you can choose 'New' 'Close'
Under 'Edit' you can choose 'Form 1' 'Form 2'

This is an global menu, that is loaded with the startup
function in access.

When i choose 'File'->'New' i want the 'Edit'-'Form 1'
choice to be disabled.

I have read about the "SetMenuItem Action" in the help
menu, but it doesnt work ... No error message either

Menu Index = 0
Command Index = 0
Subcommand Index =
Flag = Gray

this i runned from an macro.

Any ideas anyone ??
