Merge addresses from Public Folder

I am using Outlook 2003 on Exchange 2000 and have set up a common address
list on a Public Folder. I want to use this as a data source for mail
merging in Word. When the mail merge wizard asks me to choose a Contacts
Folder, it lists this common address list as an option (alongside my own
Contacts Folder) but will not connect to it. I get an error message telling
me I have a dialog or database engine failure. Anybody any ideas on this?

Known problem. The solution is to start the merge in the desired public contacts folder using Outlook's Tools | Mail Merge command.
