merge external xml with the schema

How can i merge the
data in an external XML file with the schema in the document (word 2003). Is
it possible ?

Hi S.W.,

Are you talking about a Word document that already exists and you just
want to add some external data? Using a smart document solution with web
services or a database connection will allow you to populate XML-based
information into your document. If you have an existing XML instance that
you want to use in Word, then you would create an XSLT that merges the
existing XML information set into a Word 2003 instance.
