Merge From Access

I was trying to merge from Access 2000 to office 2000
with windows XP as my OS. I have encountered an error
stating that the DDE connection could not be re-
established. I noticed several posts dealingwith this
issue, but I did not get a good idea of what teh problem
was exactly. I apologize if I have not provided enough

That's because it's not clear exactly what causes the
problem It could be a setting in Access/Tools/Advanced
about ignoring DDE requests.

But most often it's because there's a configuration problem
in Windows that's preventing DDE from working. Take a look
