Merge Layout, more than 1 record on a page??

Hi folks,
A customer wants to create a merged record from an excel file that will
print out 4 postcard type records on each page in landscape layout.
I tried the merge feature but it is printing 4 copies of each record on each
page instead of one after another...

I am curious if what she wants is possible either by creating a paper size
for the record of 4x6 or creating the records some other way... I usually
use Filemaker Pro because that isn't an issue for my labels...

Without having any idea what version of Word is being used it's pretty
difficult to give you any more detailed info than what Peter has offered.

Continued (I hit the wrong button)

Just do the top left card then use the "Fill in the items..." tool in
section 2 of the MMM rather than putting 4 copies on the page.
