Merge Outlook contacts to Word

Thorbjorn Sundboe

I have a template with a Macrobutton that inserts an address from Outlook.
When I activate the macro, it opens Outlook and I may select which address
book and which contact I want. Upon insertion into the document however, the
Company
name gets truncated or rather the middle part of the company name is being
skipped and the last part is appended.

For example, I have an address where Full Name is "xxxxx Pharmazeutika
Gesellschaft m.b.H.". When I activate the macro and select this address,
"xxxxx H." is inserted into the document.

I have used the macros listed under
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/InsertAdrsWMacroFld.htm to
accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers, Thorbjorn

Thanks, but this page addresses the steps to use the macrobutton, but does
not address the problems I am encountering where information is not being
inserted properly.

The link was provided so that you could cross check whether your use of the
macrobutton field was correct and to provide a source of the available
fields that you could use in this exercise. The code to insert an address
from Outlook is provided and the second link shows how to setup an envelope
so that the address is not curtailed. Where does your problem differ from
this?

The macrobutton field has been setup using the syntax provided in the link I
included below which seems identical to the one you provided, I used
copy/paste. However, it behaves differently than expected. Upon insertion
into the document however, the Company ame gets truncated or rather the
middle part of the company name is being skipped and the last part is
appended. For example, I have an address where Full Name is "xxxxx
Pharmazeutika Gesellschaft m.b.H.". When I activate the macro and select
this address, "xxxxx H." is inserted into the document. Contents in the Full
Name are truncated after the first space and before the second last period.
That is my problem.

Can you email me the offending record from Outlook so that I may try and
reproduce the problem.
