It would help if you'd provide a much more explicit explanation of what you
have actually done and what you want to do with it. The terms you've used
["combine" & "layers"] have specific associations in graphic design but Word
supports features of neither description. It would also be useful to know
what version of Word you're working with - that should always be mentioned
because it can make a definite difference.
