Merge to an empty dataset

I am using Word 2002 and have a macro with a set of linked merges. In some
cases there will be no record that satisfies a query condition. How can I
eliminate the error message that appears and keep the macro running when the
dataset is empty for this query?

You know it would be lot easier to help you modify your macro if you pasted
your code into your post. Then we would know what it is that is to be
modified.

Doug,
Thanks for the quick response. I thought there might be an easy answer to my
question. I could transmit the code as you suggested but on thinking about it
I decided it would be neater to test the database before using it to insure
it was not empty for any of the three types of information. This seems easy
to do by writing a sub using autofilter. With Boolian variables generated by
this sub I can bypass the merge code when the database is empty.
