Merge To E-Mail With Hyperlink

Word Patch 25 April 2002, applied.
Regedit
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Options\MailMergeSpec
ialChars", value = 1, done.

When I merge to email from Word to Outlook, any hyperlinks included in the
document become plain text and are not clickable.

I've tried everything I can think of - anybody have any ideas?
