Merge to Word

After an embarrassing amount of time, I have finally been successful in
creating a Bank Draft displaying currency using Access/Word merge to a table
document. One line (table cell) displays the amount in words with asterisks
following. TWO HUNDRED********(etc) or TWENTY THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND
FIFTY****(etc).
My question is how do I fill the cell automatically with asterisks all the
way to the end?
