I have 90 letters that look to an Access database for merge info. The entire
system was created on '98. Whenever we try to merge a letter, we have two
problems:
1. The merge does not perform automatically, as it did previously. Now, we
must follow the steps in the task pane. Much, much slower. Is there a way
around this?
2. When choosing a record to merge, Access takes roughly one minute to
search 3300 records. It does this three times through the procedure.
Our previous version performed this operation almost instantaneously; my
upgrade cannot really be such a step down, can it?
