Merge

I am trying to merge my excel database file into a publisher booklet, I keep
getting dialog or database engine failure. I did this 2 weeks ago and it
worked perfectly. Of course now I have a deadline. Can anyone please help
me.

What version Publisher?
The article below says Outlook but the solution might be something you can use.
"The operation could not be completed because of dialog or database engine
failure" error message if you use Outlook contacts for a mail merge
