"mergefield" prints in field instead of data

I have done numerous mail merges. I am in Word 2002
running on XP. Newest problem is that once the data is
merged, in the preview window, everything appears fine,
but in "Print Preview" or when I print,
{MERGEFIELD "Contact"} prints instead of the person's
name. HELP PLEASE! Any ideas? Could it be my printer
drivers?

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks! Shelley

Is Tools|Options|Print|"Include with document"|"Field codes" checked? If so,
uncheck it.
