Merging/combining 2/3 presentations into 1

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

How do I combine 2 or 3 presentations into one? I tried to insert slide from file, but I only got the text and not the background.
Help.

I have a feeling you need to check the box in the lower right corner of the
Slide Finder for "Keep design of original slides". When you go into the
"Choose a File" dialog select the option for "Select slides to insert..."
then click Insert & check that box in the Slide Finder & hit Insert All.
