When mail merging a field containing a number, say 218.4,
from a Visual Foxpro V6 generated .dbf file into Word
2000, it appears as "218 4" or when a numeric picture
switch is applied, "222.00"! but, if the number is 218.41,
then it is displayed correctly in Word.
I believe I am using the correct ODBC driver to connect to
the file. It can be worked around by converting the .dbf
fiel to Excel and mail merging from that but I'd prefer a
direct merge. Can anyone suggest a solution to this?
