Merging data from Sage with Word.

Hi There,

I was wondering if it was possible to merge client
invoicing data from a program called Sage into my Word
mail merdge. I am using windows xp if that helps. Thank
you very much, i will be so pleased if i can do this, it
will save me so much time!!

Typically, software packages come with facilities for exporting records to
e.g. comma- or tab-delmited formats. You do the export, then use the
exported data as your merge data source. Some software packages provide an
ODBC driver or OLEDB provider that will let you get at the data more
directly (although OLEDB can only be used with Word 2002 or later). I don't
know in the case of Sage (presumably you are talking about Sage Accounts,
but AFAIK Sage produces a number of quite different packages such as Line 50
etc.) but would guess "export" is the only way to do it.
