Hi - I have had the same problem myself and i don't know
if you've already tried this but I found I had to correct
it from the Word end. If you highlight the date merge
field and then press cntrl and F9 it shows the switches
(they control the data presentation i think!)
Then type: \@ "dd,MMMM,yyyy" - the Ms need to be capitals
but this should do it - hope this helps!
In the word help menu this stuff is under Date-Time
