Merging drawings

Is there a way to merge two drawings in OneNote? Or at least is there a way
to group drawings so that the drawings can be resized collectively?

In SP1, the ink drawing strokes are regrouped as you are selecting them. And
then you can resize them collectively.

This doesn't work as well if your selection is mixed. It also doesn't work
that well if some of the drawing are locked (Edit->Allow Drawing to
auto-merge is not checked). So if you expect to do this a lot on a page, it
is preferable to set the pen as Drawing only.

Also in SP1 final, it is a lot more reliable to threat ink as drawing.

While not very convenient (in other words, hopefully you won't have to do
this very often, and future versions should make this easier), these
"recovery" steps can allow you to convert a whole page to be freeform
drawings:

1) Select all (Ctrl-A on the page until everything on that page is selected
2) Tools->Treat selected ink as->Drawing
3) Select all (Ctrl-A on the page until everything on that page is selected
4) Edit->Allow drawing to auto-merge (this should uncheck it.)
5) Edit->Allow drawing to auto-merge (this should check it. If it is already
checked, skip this step.

Hope this helps.

I usually switch to using Journal for this. I know it is a different app
but I can easily create a link from my notes in OneNote to my drawing in
the Journal file. (Search back for my name and 'link' for more info.)
Once I have settled on exactly how my drawing should look, I put an image
of it in OneNote for easier viewing. I know it's not ideal but it works
best for me this way.

Thanks! That worked.
