Merging files

Michael Pallamary

Hello,

Is there an easy way to merge data files in Access? The
data is all in the same format. I just need to merge it
all into one file.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Michael,

It depends on what you mean by "data files". But in general:

1) open the database you want to merge the data into.

2) use File|Get External Data|Link to create linked tables accessing the
data in the other files.

3) create a series of Append queries to append the data from the linked
tables into the table(s) where you want it.
