Merging from Word and Access XP...

I have a problem with the new version of XP Office. When
I am inserting fields from either a database or merge
file, I have to close the field list each time I need to
make a placement for the field, move the mouse to that
place and then open the field list again. This isn't
annoying until you start doing a lot of merging and the
older version of Word 2000 would allow you to keep the
field list open while placing the cursor where ever you
wanted the field to appear. Does anyone have an idea as
to how to turn off this feature, so that I can randomly
place fields in my documents without closing out the
