Merging in Office XP converts dates incorrectly

Hi,

When our users merge an Access DB into a word document,
the date fields are converted incorrectly!
08-10-2003 (8th of October 2003) in Access becomes
10-08-2003 (10th of August 2003) in Word.

We are using Office XP Pro (Dutch) SP2 on Windows 2000 Pro
(English) SP4. All the regional settings are set to Dutch
(also for the user)

Office 2000 Pro (Dutch) does NOT have this problem.

Is there a fix or solution to this problem?

10-08-2003 in Word is October-8-2003 - the US date version -
as to why? I dont use WordXP but is there some sort of setting for the date
format in this?
ie US date or your prefered format
