merging into a table

Richard

Hi,

I would like to merge data into a table. While I could
use the Next Field Code the problem is that the amount of
records to merge fluctuates weekly. I tried using a
catalog, but that just seemed to create a new table for
each data item.

Is there a way I can merge data into 1 table and have it
create the appropriate number of rows? Thanks

This is a catalog merge as you suspected.
Create a single row table (nothing else) with the fields in the cells of
that row and merge to a new document

Thanks!
So I assume I have to cut and paste the table into the
formatted document I want. I have one other issue that
pooped up. If I add the new table to my document it's
length exceeds a page and by default the table starts on
page 2 leaving a huge empty page (except for the header)
on page 1. However, the table breaks across the following
pages corectly. Any ideas as to how I can get this large
table to start where it should on Page 1? Thanks

Yes ... it is not practical to do it in one operation - though see Cindy's

Pooped up? :)

Do you have 'keep with next' applied to the previous paragraph?
I don't personally make much use of this facility, so I have crossposted to
the tables group for input from the readers there.
