Merging of Data from Access to Word Doc

When transfering data from access my date format changes to American Format?
In my data base it is 12/01/2005 (12 Jan 2005) yet when merged it changes to
01/12/2005.

All setting are UK not US anyone know why it does this I am using office
2003 converting from office 2000 pro on server?

Format( "1/12/2005 12:50:13 AM", "dd/MM/ yyyy" )
Format( now(), "dd/mm /yyyy" )
Try formatting your date in access in a query or in the format field of the
table I think you can just type in the "dd/MM/YYYY" and you should get what
you are looking for.
