merging over multiple pages

This might be a basic question, but is it possible to merge over multiple
pages (like in word)? I couldn't find any merge rules like in Word (i.e.
<<Next Record>>).

I want to create a catalog that (A5 format on landscape A4 pages) would run
over multiple pages and be able to print the result back to back correctly so
that the pages can just be stapled together and folded book style and read
p1, p2, p3 etc. Is this possible?

What you have described is the way a catalog merge works. Setup your publication
as a booklet, use the catalog merge. Lots of help here:

and merged the template to a new publication voila! problem solved!
