Merriam Webster cannot be re-enabled. What happened?

I have a Merriam Webster's dictionary/thesaurus add-on within 2003 MS Word.

Every month or so, it disappears. In the past "about MS Word," I can
re-enable it.

However, today it doesn't appear in the list of disabled programs.

How do I re-enable it?
