Message alert

Is it possible for me to display a message alert in the middle of my screen
and it remain there until I have read it? For example, if I'm away from my
desk for a period of time, I'd like something in the middle of the screen to
tell me there's a message.

Note that this also applies to Outlook 2007.

If you are using the New Mail Desktop Alert you can move this alert to any
place on your screen by dragging it via the top border with your mouse.
