There was a thread back in 2000 about this issue but I don't see
anyone solved it:
We have 5 installations of OfficeXP on XP Pro with all the latest
updates. All message boxes are coming up behind Word's main window
even when Word is in the foreground.
For example, if I try to open a document which someone else has open,
Word will normally pop up a message asking you if you want to open a
read-only. In our case, this is what happens:
1)Document is double-clicked in folder
2)Word starts
3)Status bar shows "Requesting virus scan..."
4)Main window and taskbar title start flashing
5)We click the taskbar and Word minimises, revealing the dialog box
behind
6)We respond to the dialog box
7)We then have to click the taskbar a second time to restore the Word
window.
This is really annoying and confusing to the users.
Any ideas?
