message on opening documents in 2007

When opening documents on new server with Word 2007, there is a message on
the bottom saying "contacting %path\templates for information" Press esc to
cancel. This eventually brings us the document. We don't want this to come
up every time just bring us the document. The path in Word File locations is
where the templates are located and is proper. These files came from old
server with slightly differnt name. Is there something we can do to turn
this off and make the documents come up faster.

On the Developer tab click Document Template and see if the file location
you are seeing is in the Document Template text box. If so, delete it.

If you don't see the Developer tab, click the Office Button, click Word
Options, and you'll see the option to show the Developer tab in the Popular
section.
