Message Option has no Information for e-mails

I am try to figure out if I need another update for Outlook 2000 SP3!? When
I receive e-mails in outlook I like to pick up information from that e-mails
option. I always use the Return Address info to setup rules. However when I
open this option on some e-mails there is no information to view? Is this by
application design, o9r do I need another fix?
