message rules

i have office 2002 and i am trying to create message rules. when i create a
rule, all messages go to my inbox but not to the specified folder. what do i
do?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
