Message Stuck in Outbox and I'm out of ideas!

I have an email with a big attachment (70 MB) stuck in my outbox and I've
tried everything to get rid of it. I've tried to delete it after clicking
"Work Offline," after going to Safe Mode, and after doing both but it still
doesn't work. I tried to make a new .pst file my default folder (as was
suggested in some other threads) and it still didn't work.

I even downloaded the MDB Viewer Test Application to try to force it out (as
was suggested on another thread), but when I follow the instructions and try
to run the IpMDB->AbortSubmit () I get an error message that says:

mapi_e_unable_to_abort

I get the error message even while running Outlook in Safe and Offline and
when it's not running at all.

PLEASE HELP!

This has worked for me when needed. There are probably other ways, but give
it a try. It may vary depending on the version you are using

Open Outlook and go to tools->email accounts.
Be sure view accounts is selected and click next.
Select your default account and click change.
Make note of your outgoing mail server then remove and replace with a non
valid server name.
Close all windows and outlook. If prompted click ‘Yes’ about exiting with a
message in your Outbox
Be sure outlook is no longer running. You can be sure by going to the task
manager and making sure Outlook.exe is not running under the processes tab.
Open Outlook and delete message from outbox.
Go through the first steps to change your outgoing mail server back to the
original.
Done

What happens is that you cannot delete nor do anything to the message once
it is being sent. This can happen if the message has large attachments or if
it is just stuck in a loop. By interrupting the sending process you can then
delete it. I hope this works for you.

Davec

If you tried this and it "didn't work", then you did it incorrectly.
There's no way it can't work because when you create a new PST and make it
the delivery location, a brand new _empty_ Outbox gets created. There can't
be any messages to send because the folder's NEW.
