Message: The File may be read-only, or you may.....

All of a sudden, I could no longer open my excel
spreadsheet. I get the message "The File may be read-
only, or you may be trying to access a read only
location. Or the server the document is stored on may
not be responding" I've checked the attributes and they
are all unchecked. All my other files work fine. I'm
using Windows XP Prof and Excel 2002. Please Please help.

This sounds like a network access problem. I am using NT in my office, and I used to see this message quite often (because some glitches in IT revoke my access without any reasons). Are you sure this warning appears only when you try to access Excel files or all files in general?

This issue is occurring with this file only. I am not
networked. I have a stand alone desktop in my home.
