Message to webmasters: word limit

Hi,

Message to webmasters: word limit.

If you write more than 350 characters (70 words) on a new message
(Post a New Message) on this forum using Safari 1.0 and Mac OS X, you
get a warning that the window cannot be expanded, the window closes
and you lose all your writing.

If possible, please fix.

Thanks.

Hi Tony,

You're using Microsoft's web interface to access these newsgroups and it is
notoriously unfriendly to the Mac platform. I suggest you use an
alternative (and better) way to access newsgroups, specifically a newsreader
(or Google if you really prefer a web interface). Please see this article
for your options: <http://word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/AccessNewsgroups.htm>.

I will report your experience to MS and hopefully they'll eventually get it
right, but don't hold your breath.

Beth,

Thanks.

Actually, when I tried to send this reply from Safari 1.0 or Internet
Explorer 5.2.3 on Mac OS X 10.2.8 I got:

---
-----Original Message-----
Message unavailable

and then when clicking "Send":

Hi Tony,

There are various portals for Microsoft's web news. One of the old ones
(the one you are using apparently) doesn't like something about my name.
This is an old problem which will disappear as soon as MS finishes
converting all portals to the newer web news format. If you really like
MS's web news, try this portal instead:
?guid=366BA05D-4181-BB41-B201-4C83D5F6024C>

However you will still have other Mac-related difficulties and I suggest you
stick with the newsreader anyway. It's light years faster and more
efficient.

Impressive except the is no way to go to next message without using back arrow. That
not verry intuitive. You need a next topic tab.
