Message "You entered an expression that has an invalid reference..

When I try to import any type of file, xls, txt, csv, etc Access gives me an
error message "You entered an expression that has an invalid reference to the
property |". I re-installed the office suite several times without success.
I am running Windows XP SP3 and MS Office 2002. Following are details about
the Access version, etc:

Hi JML,

I suggest you try installing the latest Office 2002 service pack. If
that doesn't fix it, post back here with some more information:

Does this happen with all databases or only one?
What happens if you create a new empty database and try importing data
into that?
Which method(s) are you using to import the data?
What is the error number accompanying the error message?

Hi ~ I am experiencing a similar problem in my access database whenever I
try to run a query that runs a report. I recently converted my database from
Office 97 to Office 2003. And I get the message " You entered an expression
that has an invalid reference to the property visible." What does this mean?
I even tried to open the unconverted 97 .mdb file and I still get the
message. It appears to be an Office 2003 problem. Does anyone know what I
need to do to fix it? Please direct me to information about this problem. I
have downloaded all the updates and services packs from the microsoft
website. It still isn't fixed.
