Messages are not being marked as replied to

I have Outlook 2007 on a brand new machine with Vista home. My messages are
not being marked properly as forwarded or replied to.

I am using my ISP provider email which works through POP and SMTP. This was
working on my previous machine with XP. Have I not formatted something
properly?
